Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk is a true representation of the Saxon manufacture's technical ingenuity and design mastery. Introduced in 2009, the Zeitwerk's innovative digital jumping time display builds upon a 19th century patent by Josef Pallweber, though Lange's implementation showcases the mechanism horizontally rather than vertically. Despite the apparent simplicity of the time display, the Zeitwerk's underlying mechanism is remarkably complex, requiring tremendous creativity and engineering prowess to develop. The stunning caliber L043.1 powering this timepiece features a constant force escapement, lavishly finished with Glashütte ribbing and beveling. The technical complexity of this movement was recognized with the Aiguille d'Or, the highest accolade at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2009. The present platinum variant is part of a limited edition of 200 pieces and is numbered 10. Preserved in excellent overall condition with sparse wrist time, this Zeitwerk comes complete with its full set of accessories.
