The Canape along with Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet are modern models meant to pay homage to vintage Art Deco designs. The AP Canape’s swivel lugs, the domed crystal, and the narrow rectangular profile all harkon back to the Art Deco era. However, the dial is a highly modern touch as well as is the automatic movement caliber 2140 with 31 jewels. Obviously with a modern watch like the Canape the size, water resistance, deployant folding buckle and more are superior to vintage watches in terms of functionality. CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise it is in running and working well but we have not had it serviced and don’t offer any longterm functional warranty. Cosmetically this watch is very good shape with minor surface scratches and wear. The black Alligator Strap is in used condition which still have lots of wear life ahead.
