Breitling Chrono-Matic Bullhead

This vintage Breitling from the 1970s is a sought-after piece among collectors thanks to its unusual design from which it gets its nickname: “Bullhead”. This is due to the position of the chronograph pushers at 11 and 1 o’clock which are reminiscent of a bull’s horns, whereas the slightly sloped case—like a vintage writing table—was the inspiration behind its official name: "Pult Pupitre". This model boasts the Calibre 12, an updated version of the iconic Calibre 11—a collaborative project between Breitling, Leonidas/Heuer, Hamilton/Büren and Dubois-Dépraz. The Calibre 11 was one of the first automatic chronograph movements, making it hugely significant. The colourful blue dial with white and red accents make this an eye-catching watch—one sure to inspire countless conversations. This Breitling Chrono-Matic Bullhead has a blue dial and a leather strap. This Breitling has undergone a thorough inspection of accuracy, functionality and condition to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history.
