in this case, with an extremely rare Frederic Piguet Mecaquartz Hybrid Caliber 1270: quartz timing engine with mechanical chronograph module. Smooth sweep second hand; reset lever operates on a heart-shaped cam so reset is mechanical and instantaneous.

B. HISTORY OF THE WATCH:
* In 1995, Daniel Roth joined forces with The Hour Glass Group and this model is part of that period.
* The model was presented in 1997 and very limited number was produced. As far as I know this is the only Daniel Roth model with the rotating besel. Also FS similar model with the black dial.

This model was arguably the sportiest execution of the complication in Daniel Roth's catalogue.
The three-register chronograph featured a 30-minute totalizer at 9 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 3 o'clock in addition to running seconds on a subdial at 6. An aperture for the date indicator between 4 and 5 o'clock completed the picture.
The GMT Chronograph was presented in Daniel Roth's signature ellipsocurvex case in stainless steel with generous amounts of lume on the broad-sword hands and round indices for the hour markers, as well as a bidirectionally rotatable 12-hour bezel in matching material for the lunette tourmante complication.
