They are the brand which several features which we now take for granted can either be attributed to, or were popularised by. These included the chronograph pause mechanism and the tri-sub counter to name a couple. The present Eberhard belongs to the “Pre-Extra Fort” era, a name coined by the Italian collecting community, as later Eberhards produced around 1950 featured a prominent “Extra Fort” line of text on the dial, together with a reworked case architecture and dial design on later models. This earlier Pre-Extra Fort is fitted with a tasty salmon dial which further accentuates its vintage look. It is also fitted with the earliest form of chronograph pause mechanism, the very one invented by Eberhard, and operated using a slide lock mechanism instead of the more modern true twin pusher mechanism most collectors are used to. These features combine to make this lot an overall extremely attractive package for the vintage enthusiast and is preserved in very crisp and original condition.依百克 Pre-Extra Fort Chronograph 精鋼單按鈕計時腕錶,備鎖定功能、鮭魚色錶盤及蝸牛刻度,約1940年製
