Lord Elgin c.1949 Gents Dress Watch

This is a c.1949 Gents Lord Elgin Dress Watch in good condition. Lord Elgin watches were the Elgin Watch Companys' Premier Collection of classic dress watches with elegance and refinement being the stated aim. These watches are becoming very popular amongst collectors these days. This particular watch has a two tone Rose and Yellow 14k Gold Filled Case, the case itself has some surface scratches but nothing major there is some plate erosion on the back of the case (see picture), the Rose gold dial is clean and Latin numerals on the quarters clearly visible, the glass does have visible scratches and a replacement would add value to the watch. Inside the case there is an Elgin 21 Jewel lever 559 Movement signed Elgin USA. Cosmetically in good condition and running well.
