To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, Omega released this extraordinary Speedmaster Limited Edition, a direct tribute to the gold Speedmasters gifted to NASA astronauts in 1969. Crafted from 18K Moonshine gold, a proprietary alloy developed by Omega, it is limited to 1014 pieces, and the case offers a subtle, paler hue than traditional yellow-gold while providing enhanced resistance to fading over time. The step dial, also in 18K Moonshine gold, features a vertical brushed finish and is accentuated by faceted onyx hour markers, a striking contrast that enhances legibility and depth. Inspired by the original 1969 Apollo 11 tribute watch, the bezel is rendered in burgundy ceramic. The exhibition case back reveals the hand-wound Master Chronometer caliber 3861, a state-of-the-art evolution of Omega’s legendary Moonwatch movement, offering exceptional accuracy, anti-magnetic resistance, and Co-Axial technology. Surrounding the movement, the inner decorative ring features a partial map of the American continent, along with a domed lunar meteorite insert, proportionally representing the Earth and Moon.
