Initially produced as a limited series of 1,000 pieces, the Aquanaut reference 5060 featured a similar case design to its elder sibling, but with a smaller 36mm diameter. This model quickly became popular among both young and seasoned enthusiasts, leading to the creation of the standard-issued ref. 5065. Known as the “Jumbo” due to its larger dimensions of 38mm, the ref. 5065 inherited the distinct design DNA from the ref. 5060 while also introducing a transparent sapphire caseback, allowing the wearer to admire the exquisite architecture of the caliber 315 SC. The present fresh-to-the-market example is a rare full set from circa 2006, retains its Certificate of Origin and comes complete with its original presentation box and accessories, making it a remarkable find for collectors.
