Interestingly, instead of embracing the organic or extravagant designs it frequently explored during that era, Piaget chose a more monolithic approach for this piece. The watch features a substantial cushion-shaped case with a stepped bezel, showcasing a bold and structured architecture. Though seemingly simple, achieving the flawless proportions—allowing the watch to exude both elegance and gravitas—was far from “simple.” This model was initially designed to house the groundbreaking Beta 21 movement, the first Swiss quartz mechanism. Acknowledging the enduring charm of its original design, the brand reintroduced it in 2015. This particular model from the revived collection showcases a stunning and jaw-dropping falcon’s-eye dial. While most commonly seen in white-gold cases, this exceptional timepiece features a heafty and rare platinum case, further engraved N° 1.
