Description

1974 Rolex MilSub 5513 with Service Papers

Case: The thick and even welded lug hole case is excellent, showing sharp prominent bevels and only light wear from use. The original and factory-correct full index bezel is also in excellent condition and has faded to a graduated silver-grey tone, showing only light wear from use. The original outer caseback shows the correct military markings, with a clear protective sticker in place to protect the deep, sharp, and legible engravings. The inside of the caseback is engraved with a case-matching serial number. Dial: The matte black dial is excellent, showing only very light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a warm, clean, creamy hue, and the hands have been relumed and color matched to the dial. The second hand is either a type 2 or a service hand, which is common on Milsubs. Bracelet: The "Admiralty Grey" nylon strap is excellent, showing some light wear from use. Accessories: Service Papers. Notes: Chances are you'll never know the full history of this watch, because it's probably classified. We do, however, know a little bit about it since it's been honorably discharged from service. The watch popped up at the 2016 Rolex Passion Meeting in London. Where it was not only enjoyed but also scrutinized by enthusiasts and experts alike. It's important to note that in 2016, there was nobody yet making replica or "Homage" components for Milsubs that could pass as authentic by even a casual enthusiast, never mind by some of the most scrutinizing and experienced eyes in the game. Although the photos from 2016 have a lower resolution than we would like. We can say with confidence that this watch is unaltered and in the exact same configuration from when it was was presented to the experts at the 2016 RPM. We are equally confident it would pass the same expert scrutiny today. Please see below for a link to the article highlighting the 2016 Rolex Passion Meeting. The last photo in our gallery will help you find our watch in the pile. https://bulangandsons.eu/blogs/lifestyle/issued-2-a-celebration-of-issued-watches Inventory: cuzz Details Year : 1974 Brand : Rolex Model : Military Submariner Reference : 5513 Serial : 3764XXX
