The Rolex Day-Date is a watch that defines prestige, excellence, and timelessness. The production of the reference 1803 Day-Date started in 1959 and was fitted with a fluted bezel rather than the smooth bezel. Predominantly produced in either gold or platinum, Rolex introduced a special variant of the series during the 1970s. With the exception of the most modern executions, the Day-Date comes exclusively in a 36 mm case.
