The Stima brand, though less known today, produced quality chronometers and chronographs embodying the refined aesthetics of pre-war Swiss watchmaking. The Staybrite steel coin-edge case, measures 37mm in diameter excluding the crown, and it has elaborate, fancy stylized lugs— which are visually striking and very characteristic. These details provide the watch with a substantial wrist presence and underscore its period-correct design. The case is fit with a domed plexiglass, in excellent condition and free of scratches. The original two tones silvered dial is in a very good untouched condition, it shows only a very light and even time patina and it is a looker, it has a bold outer tachymeter snail scale, and an inner, red telemeter scale enhancing functionality and visual complexity. The dial is complete with elegant blued steel Breguet hand, all well preserved. Powering this chronograph is the Landeron 39 caliber, a hand-wound, column-wheel chronograph movement used from the late 1930s onwards. Known for its robustness and reliability, the Landeron 39 operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and the column wheel system, ensures a precise chronograph engagement and reset.
