Known for their avant-garde haute horology timepieces, Greubel Forsey introduced the 24 Seconds Tourbillon in 2015. It was their thinnest and most accessible tourbillon and went on to win the industry’s top prize, the Aiguille d’Or at the 2015 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Two years later a platinum-cased version with a gorgeous gold salmon dial, like the present timepiece, was introduced into the brand’s catalogue. A boutique independent watch brand, Greubel Forsey’s annual output used to be around 100 watches till around the year 2020. Though that figure has now close to doubled, they still remain a very exclusive product. The present timepiece is one that deserves a closer look under a watch loupe. The brand prides itself on its exceptional quality of finishing – cue the black polished tourbillon bridge, and the chamfered edges of the frosted finish movement bridges. A transparent bubble on the sapphire crystal caseback houses the tourbillon which is also visible dial side via the aperture at 9 o’ clock. The three-part solid gold has a pleasing salmon tone and features applied gold hour markers and numerals with blue champlevé grand feu enamel. The present timepiece is in excellent condition and comes from the original owner and is offered with its full set of accessories. According to the brand, only 11 pieces were made in platinum, the white gold was limited to 22 pieces and the red gold was a limited production of 11 pieces.
